The Background
Soil Types: Fill soil、collapsible loess、total of 5 buildings experiencing settlement.
Building height: 25 m
Maximum settlement:120 mm
Maximum inclination rate: 9 ‰ towards the south
The Problem
Collapsible loess is a special soil; during the initial construction phase, the SDDC method was used to mitigate its impact on the foundation, but the fill soil above was not properly treated. After the residential buildings were completed, the average pressure at the base reached 155 kPa,leading to insufficient bearing capacity of the shallow fill foundation and uneven settlement.
The Solution
Special materials are used to fill and compact the soil, forming a raft-shaped composite foundation when solidified together, enhancing foundation stability and bearing capacity. This process generates an upward lifting force, thereby achieving building lifting and rectification.
The Result
Construction period:25 days
Total lift amount:120 mm
Inclination deviation:0.3‰
