The Background

Soil Types: Backfill soil, silt soil.

The production workshop experiencing settlement is 14.7m high. It has a steel frame structure and a prestressed pipe pile foundation.

Building Area: 4,422.21m²

Pile Length: 28~32m

The Problem

The shallow foundation consists of backfill soil with high porosity and low bearing capacity, leading to compression deformation under self-weight and overlying loads. The deep foundation consists of silt soil with low bearing capacity, poor stability, high compressibility, and low strength, belonging to weak foundations, causing significant additional deformation under large overlying loads.

The Solution

First, reinforce and strengthen the shallow foundation to ensure uniformity in lifting effects. Then, implement grout lifting in the deeper foundation, allowing the grout under pressure to penetrate the foundation. As the soil solidifies, the pressure of the grout increases, generating vertical forces and beginning to lift the building.

The Result

After our company's intervention, the foundation bearing capacity met usage requirements, and the ground was restored to the design elevation. the factory foundation was accurately reset and the project passed the acceptance inspection at once.

Construction Period: 20 days

Total Lift Amount: 40mm
