The Background
Soil Types: Miscellaneous fill, silty soil, silty clay.
The warehouse is 10m high and the floor slab is 15cm thick with reinforcement. The floor is equipped with 8-meter-high shelves, and the settled warehouse has a pile cap foundation.
Settlement Area: 1,306 m²
Maximum Settlement Amount:140mm
Shelf Height: 8m
The Problem
The soft soil foundation has medium to high compressibility and is prone to compression under pressure. There was a design error in the pile cap foundation; foundation beams were not designed, making it difficult for the pile cap structure to transfer the load to the bottom bearing stratum, causing the load to act on the shallow soil layer.
The Solution
Use high-tech composite materials to permeate, fill, and compact the soft soil layer, consolidating it into a new structural body. The soil layer is pushed upwards due to the compaction effect, ultimately lifting the ground to the design elevation and restoring it to level. Continue constructing continuous irregular composite pile foundations, forming a new foundation bearing system with the upper reinforced structure, significantly enhancing the foundation bearing capacity.
The Result
Our company's construction process restructured the foundation bearing system, greatly improving the effect of load transfer and effectively enhancing the foundation bearing capacity. The warehouse floor was leveled and repositioned, meeting the project requirements.
Construction Period: 7 days
